Impacting the community through economic development

The Springfield Business Development Corporation (SBDC), a subsidiary of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, is focused on economic development, assisting in job creation and spurring capital investment in the 10-county region. Growing Our Economy

The SBDC is currently seeking additional investment to ramp up economic development efforts in two areas: attracting talented workers to Springfield and more aggressively marketing the region. Approved by the SBDC board in May 2012, these plans will effectively utilize any new monies from current and prospective investors to pay dividends to the region.
