Springfield call center adding 140 jobs, expand facility

Founded by former employees of the Wyndham Vacation Resorts call center, Gold Mountain Communications began operations in downtown
“We were able to leverage existing contacts in the industry to help get the business off the ground,” said Hank Seevers, president. “The Chamber assisted us throughout the process and helped guide us through state incentive programs important to our expansion.”
In April, the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) approved $376,000 in state tax credits for Gold Mountain Communications under the Enhanced Enterprise Zone (EEZ) program, which offers state tax credits to companies creating jobs and making investments within the specified zone.

The tax credits will be provided over a five-year period for the creation of the 140 new jobs and new investment of $960,000 for the facility expansion.
“This is an example of entrepreneurship at its best,” says John Wanamaker, chairman of the Springfield Business Development Corporation, the economic development arm of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. “Hank Seevers and his team not only bounced back from being laid off, but their company is now creating jobs. We’re excited to be part of the process of helping Gold Mountain Communications expand.”
