AMERICAN AIRLINES
RESTORES DIRECT SERVICE TO ST. LOUIS |
|
|
Beginning in early April, American Eagle will operate regional jet
service between Springfield and St. Louis on one daily flight.
Service between Springfield and St. Louis ended in June 2006.
At that time, the flights were on smaller, turbo-prop aircraft.
The route is being made possible by the
American Airlines maintenance base in Springfield. The ERJ-135
aircraft will leave St. Louis at 6:35pm to receive routine
maintenance in Springfield and will leave SGF at 6:40am the
following morning.
Adding the connection to St. Louis
opens up additional service to numerous east and west coast
destinations and it constitutes the 12th city available through SGF. |
