Allegiant Airlines announced today it will soon bring a new route to
Springfield-Branson National Airport. Starting in December,
the air carrier will fly non-stop to Tampa from SGF, replicating the
service already established to Las Vegas and Orlando.
This addition will be the 11th city
available for direct flights from Springfield and is yet another
sign of the incredible passenger growth occurring at the airport.
In 2005 passenger traffic increased 23%, making SGF the 4th fastest
growing airport in the U.S.
Over 30 flights leave SGF each day
and last year nearly 900,000 passengers passed through the airport.
