Springfield-Branson Regional Airport (SGF) marked a record year for
total passengers in 2004. Throughout the year, 721,206
passengers moved through the airport, showing a remarkable increase
of 10.4% over 2003. This total also represents a 1.4% increase
over pre-September 11 figures.
Air service enhancements such as additional seat and route
availability have contributed to the passenger increase. Since
April of 2004, approximately 350 seats per day and two new hubs have
been added to the daily departing schedule at the airport, primarily
by Delta Airlines and Northwest Airlines.
Delta/Comair began service in April
with three jet flights per day to Cincinnati. Northwest added
capacity with DC-9 aircraft to Memphis and by adding daily service
to Minneapolis |
