MISSOURI GOVERNOR TO SIGN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
BILL IN SPRINGFIELD TOMORROW

Governor Bob Holden will sign into law Thursday a major bill designed to create jobs and economic development incentives.  You are invited to attend the bill signing which will be held at 12:30 pm at the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, 202 S. John Q. Hammons Parkway.

Senate Bill 1155, the "Jobs Now" bill, will repeal several tax credits and redirect the funds to programs such as a worker retraining initiative and the Enhanced Enterprise Zone and the Missouri BUILD program, both economic development incentives.

Governor Holden announced his "Jobs Now" program at the Chamber in January and will return to Springfield to sign the bill.
