NAMES SPRINGFIELD TO TOP 15 LIST |

Driven by strong job growth, Springfield vaulted to Inc. magazine’s
list of Top 25 Cities for Doing Business in America.
In its March 2004 issue, Inc. puts Springfield at number 15 in the
medium metro ranking, and the only city in Missouri to make the Inc.
list. The publication uses job growth and industry diversity in
determining the rankings.
According to Inc., “...these are among the unexpected places where
businesses are adding jobs most rapidly and many people are moving
in search of new lives, creating tremendous opportunities for
entrepreneurs.”
The medium metro list, topped by Green Bay, includes Tucson, Corpus
Christi, Boise, Daytona Beach, and Syracuse. All have a job base of
150,000 to 450,000. |
