SPRINGFIELD
HOUSING MARKET ONE OF THE
MOST AFFORDABLE IN THE U.S. |
|
|
Home values in Springfield are among the strongest in the nation,
according to a price comparison calculated by national real estate
firm Coldwell Banker. The study
analyzed more than 300 U.S. metro areas for the value of a
2,200-square-foot home with four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The
single-family dwelling was located in a neighborhood typical for
mid-level executives.
The Springfield home was $34,000 less
than a comparable home in St. Louis and Kansas City and $1.2 million
less than in the most expensive market, La Jolla, CA.
The table below shows the value of a
$250,000 Springfield home if purchased in other locations across the
country. |
