BANK ONE TO ADD 150 NEW JOBS

Later today, Bank One will announce the creation of 150 new jobs in Springfield, brought about by the relocation of Bank One's Retail Telephone Banking group from Chicago, IL.  The consolidation will move the company's online services support functions to Springfield.

The relocation will add to the nearly 1,000 people already employed at Bank One's Springfield operation.  Most of these are telephone customer service positions.

Organizations that assisted with this expansion include the Springfield Business & Development Corporation, the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the Missouri Department of Economic Development and Ozarks Technical Community College.
